Université Paris Dauphine-PSL's Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (EDBA) has built up a strong and mutually trustworthy partnership with Tsinghua University and Beijing National Accounting Institute (BNAI) in China. The joint EDBA program, based in Beijing at the well-known Tsinghua University, rapidly developed over the past 7 years.
At Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, the program is headed by Professor Isabelle BOUTY and by Bernard FERNANDEZ, director of the EDBA in China. More than 60 students (aged 40 to 62) from all over China have already defended their EDBA thesis, with a final graduation ceremony in Paris (France).
The Dauphine - Tsinghua - BNAI EDBA in China has been designed to develop Leadership and Research spirit, key elements to tackle challenges of senior management in international and local environments.
The Executive DBA program allows top managers to :
- deepen their practices through research approaches,
- contribute to the accurate knowledge of their profession,
- and prepare themselves to complex analyses and decision-making processes required from senior management.

Supporting China’s tremendous changes, candidates profiles are diverse: Lost generation, Returnees and New Generation, coming from various professional backgrounds (SOE, Private SME, Entrepreneurs, Hospital, etc.) and successful entrepreneurs (CEOs, consultants, etc..).
EDBA candidates join this program to collaborate and network with their peers and Faculty members. They are a passionate, diverse group of working professionals combined in their desire to share and expand experiences and qualifications, engage with research method and scientific rigor, develop applied research, and stay tuned on today’s best business practices in China and worldwide.
Neither English nor French languages are mandatory, since three languages can be used (French, English or Chinese) with professional and academic translators. It gives a great opportunity to successful Chinese entrepreneurs and CEOs to reap the benefits of an international education.
Candidates hold a Master degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. A Working Experience with an average of 10-15 years as senior manager is required.
Over three years, each candidate must attend 48 days of research seminars, a study tour in Paris (France) or others locations, and accumulate a total of 60 ICTS plus 120 credits for dissertation research and defense, commonly on the fourth year.
